01 A typical Capital Campaign Contract?

A typical capital campaign will strengthen a congregation by helping raise funds and experience renewal in it's mission. Your contract will be with a specific independent consultant who will provide you with the professional support and all materials necessary to complete your capital campaign.
The contract will outline what you will receive from your consultant in terms of campaign materials, consultant availability, onsite presence, as well as coaching and support throughout the campaign.
The contract will also state the basic fee for the campaign and a timeline for payments on that fee.

02 What Does a Campaign Cost?

Our basic campaign fee for service is based on the congregation’s baptized membership. Talk to a consultant for specifics. The congregation will compensate the consultant directly, with 20% of the total cost due at the time a
contract is signed. An additional 40% of the total fee is due when the consultant completes the
training and kick-off weekend portion of the program. The remaining 40% is due upon completion
of the Commitment Weekend phase of the campaign.
03 What is a Campaign Leadership Team?

The Campaign Leadership Team is a group of eight or more leaders who will be responsible for specific tasks for the campaign. The Pastor is an essential part of this team. Team leaders will be recruited and appointed to chair task areas including Advance Personal Visits, Communications, Hospitality, Spiritual Emphasis, Children and Youth and Follow-up. Some congregations chose to have co-chairs for selected task teams. Talk with your consultant before selecting your leadership team. One essential attitude that is required of Team Leaders is their supportive and devoted attention to the campaign tasks for the duration of the campaign.
04 Who is the best consultant for us?

The best consultant for you is the person you feel most comfortable working with and who has the experience and skills to help lead you through the campaign. Communication with your consultant is key. When interviewing your consultant test how they respond to you, listen to you, and interact with your concerns. It is also important to find a consultant who can devote the time necessary to provide your the service you need. Talk to reference they provide you. You should expect your consultant to have an 'opinion'. Open discussion with various points of view will most likely lead to the best creative and imaginative aspects of your campaign. While campaigns have similar structures, each campaign must be local in application, sensitivity and wisdom. The consultant who can provide you this leadership is your best candidate.
